First there was Airbnb now there is FlightCar. Haven’t heard of FlightCar; it is being toted as a great way to avoid airport parking fees, while making a few bucks by renting your auto out while you are away. FlightCar is operating in several major cities right now, and sounds tempting but your agent will tell you not to do this.

Do not do this. In most cases, the policy follows the vehicle meaning that whomever you give permission to drive it will be covered....how does the coverage work? It's all on you. You have the deductible to manage, you have the potential rate increase, you could be the subject of the law suit as the registered owner is responsible for the car. Please never do this. This is no baby step - this is a formula for financial disaster.
