Summertime in Pennsylvania means perfect weather for repairing roads damaged by winter or just wear and tear, to protect those working on the roads there are laws!
Headlights On – all motorists must travel in posted work areas with their headlights on.
Speeding – if you are caught driving 11 per hour or more over the posted limit, or unsafely in an active work zone, you will automatically lose your license for 15 days (and possibly worse).
Fines Double and Jail Time Increased – certain fines are double in work zones, and the law provides for up to 5 years extra jail time for certain criminal convictions.
