October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Did you know that in 2012 there were a reported 1.7M cases of breast cancer.  In 2015 this number dropped to 231,840!   Awareness is having a significant impact on detecting symptoms early. Scheduling regular mammograms every year for women age 40+ is very important and even earlier for anyone having a family history of breast cancer.  There has been a 34% drop in all cases since 1990 and a survival rate of 89% after 5 years.  Of these reported cases in 2015, 2,350 of them were men.  Choose a healthy lifestyle, get proper nutrition- consider non-gmo organic foods, fiber rich foods, moderate amounts of healthy fats such as coconut oil and avocado, more fruits and vegetables, healthy lean sources of protein, and plenty of filtered water.  Regular exercise such as resistance training, yoga, and martial arts will reduce stress and be beneficial to your health. Our genetics can make us predisposed to these and other diseases. This is why lifestyle is so critical for our state of wellness. While genetics loads the gun, lifestyle pulls the trigger!

Did you know that there are life insurance companies out there that will offer guaranteed issued policies even if you have been diagnosed or have a pre-existing condition?  This is great news for people who think that there is nothing out there for them.

Please call my team today to find out more!  I wish you health and peace in this important month, and the months ahead.
