Cyber Insurance for Business – Worth It!
 

Famous actors are insured for everything from their smiles to their legs to their derrieres! But the fastest growing market for most businesses today is Cyber Insurance.

 

Data breaches have been all over the news, as more companies are covering themselves than ever before; 21% increase since 2012 (per Marsh). Yet so many are not covered; are you one of those?

 

Consider what happened to Target, not only did they lose tangible income they lost intangibles as well: lost sales, customer trust, etc. Cyber Insurance coverage has existed since the 90’s, unfortunately many business don’t realize they need this coverage or think that in "their business" it will never happen. With the increase use of point of sale systems housed on the internet or sharing information on the internet chances are very high that a business could encounter a breach at any time, large or small.
